Introducing a brand-new concept for THE STUDIO! Something our Principal Miss Emilie has been championing for quite a while is the importance of drama and we are so excited to hatch our newest class “SCRIPT” This will be open to school years 1 upward split into two age groups who will create predominantly spoken performances via the power of a…..script! Excellent for creating confident public speakers, fantastic for moulding the skills of speech such as pace, diction, and delivery, and brilliant for the main thing we all seek and search for…..fun. The lovely thing about drama is that no prior learning is required, you can be pretty much any age, any level, and type of learner, you just simply need a will to give it a try. Classes will comprise of a variety of warm up games to begin, then we will work on stance, breath work, vocal control, and tongue twisters to prepare the body. Onto fun and engaging tasks to develop things like expression, emotion, characterization, and even comedy timing. Then finally we will focus on the main goal, to put together a performance piece involving the full cast.
