The Studio is dedicated to encouraging its pupils through a structured and enhancing education in dance and theatre performance. Regardless of an ambition for a future within the profession, an education in the performing arts provides the opportunity to develop, confidence, motivation, self-discipline, intellectual curiosity, and a creative imagination. These attributes are essential not only for performing, but for experiencing a fulfilling life as a successful member of our society.
Celebrating Individuals
Each person holds a different code for their own learning and improvement; one may take the approach of copying a demonstration in thier dance classes while another may require an explanation of movement detail or rhythm. The Studio understands the importance of nurturing its students towards their individual goals and, with the experience and expertise of its faculty, progression will be set at a pace and level that is suitable for the individual.
Beyond Classes
In addition to what can be instilled in the class room, we also feel it is important to enhance our pupil's learning with other beneficiary elements including performance experience, examinations, specialized workshops, back stage tours, theatre visits and also some social treats to reward and celebrate the on going success and endeavours that each term brings. At the higher end of the school there will also be the opportunity for pupils who display an excellent standard of technical and performance ability to gain experience through the semi professional performance sector of the Studio, providing them with a taste of the skill and discipline required for the profession.
